Hi there! I’m Lauren Harr, a Professional Organizer, Texas A&M grad, and former teacher.

Kitchen and pantries are my favorite spaces to organize. I start by taking everything out, wiping down all surfaces, categorizing like items, then placing them back in. I like to create stations in cabinets and drawers that help clients use their space more efficiently.

I love pantry makeovers. After clearing everything out, I wipe down shelves, and put products in place in a categorical system to help you stop overbuying.
Playroom

Adding shelving units to get toys off the floor works wonders. Providing easy access to toys, yet keeping them in defined, separate places will help you and your kiddos keep their play area accessible and neat each time they want to create, play, and put their treasures away.
Closet

One thing I love to do when the seasons change is to go through last seasons clothes and pull out what I did not wear. If I didn't wear it this year, I won't wear it next year. This keeps my closet streamlined and up to date so I can see what I have to wear and it will be only what I actually wear. I have some problems, and as a psychotherapist, that’s no laughing matter! My problems? Piles of stuff, typically paper. Lauren with The Tailored Nook truly is an expert in her field! Her mind is wired for organization, and she has the capability to throw a little decorating in as well. I love what she has done with my home, I know that there is a place for everything which keeps things tidy and neat. Upon realizing that I had more things than space for those things, I knew that I needed help to get my home in order. Lauren has a niche for finding ways to organize rooms and spaces that are functional as well as appealing. As a mom of 2 little ones herself she understands that things will be taken out and put back all around the house a million times a day. She helped me to find a great way to organize my kids playroom that has allowed me to teach my children how and where to put things to keep a little order. When I first moved into my new home the anxiety set in. I was newly married and was taking on the large and overwhelming task of combining two separate lives, both of which were full of many material items that we had each collected over the years. I had no idea where to even begin. Our new home was a quaint 1100 square feet and as you can imagine storage space was not easy to come by. Finding a spot for each and every one of our belongings was a chore in itself, let alone making it look organized and presentable. Luckily, this is right when I found The Tailored Nook. Lauren was so helpful and kind. She took my messy, cluttered, unorganized mountain of, for lack of a better word, crap, and turned my house into an organized paradise. Each item was neatly tucked away in its proper location, she paid attention to every little detail both big and small, from the way the cans were stacked in the pantry where every label could be visibly read, to my closet where everything was organized by season and then again by category. Lauren tailored each and every organization detail to meet my needs and it not only looked amazing but was also very FUNCTIONAL. Before Lauren came in and worked her magic, I was an anxious ball of a human who would dread going home to her chaotic mess of a house after work.
